District.
At 3:00 a.m. AST Monday approaching trough located over Quebec.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:38 AM AST 8 December 2019 A cold northwesterly flow in the wake of a departing low pressuresystem east of Newfoundland will maintain occasional freezing spray
over Gulf waters early this afternoon.
A ridge of high pressure over New England will move eastward to lie
southeast of the marine district Monday morning. A trough of low
pressure will slowly approach the marine district from the northwest
tonight and Monday. Winds will increase to strong to gale force
southwesterlies ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave
Bank, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
