Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:19 PM AST 16 November 2018 An intensifying low pressure system over Lurcher will move east
northeastward tonight to lie over Southeastern Newfoundland Saturday
morning. Gale to storm force easterlies are expected ahead and south
of the low, while strong to gale force northeasterlies are expected
north of it. Winds will then switch to strong to gale force
westerlies behind this system except over southern and eastern waters
where gale to storm force westerlies are expected.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope and Banquereau.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except
Chaleur-Miscou, and Anticosti.
