Issued 3:00 AM AST 12 December 2019 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 1014 mb located northwest of the GaspePeninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today departing low 1014 mb located east of
Anticosti Island.
At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Great Lakes.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Laurentian Fan.
At 3:00 a.m. AST today departing trough located southeast of
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:29 AM AST 12 December 2019 A low pressure system northwest of the Gaspé Peninsula early thismorning will move east of Anticosti Island this afternoon. As a
result strong to gale force northwesterlies will develop across the
district this morning and could possibly approach storm force over
northernmost waters. Winds are expected to diminish somewhat over
most waters later today and tonight as a ridge of high pressure
approaches from the west.
On Friday moderate to strong southerlies will develop over western
waters late in the day as a low pressure system approaches from the
southwest.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
