Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:07 PM ADT 15 May 2026 A low pressure system east of Cape Breton will continue trackingnortheastward tonight to lie northeast of Newfoundland by Saturday
afternoon. Strong to gale force easterly winds north of the low shift
to strong to gale force westerly winds in its wake. Winds will
subside late in the day Saturday as the low departs the region.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - southern half, Laurentian Fan, and Cabot Strait.
