Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM AST 28 February 2024 Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. AST today cold front located over the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight intensifying cold front located from
Quebec to Long Island.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday cold front located from Anticosti Island
to West Scotian Slope.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday cold front located east of the Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:25 PM AST 28 February 2024 A strong cold front will continue to approach slowly from the west
this evening and move eastward across the marine district tonight and
Thursday. Gale force southerly winds ahead of the front will shift to
gale force westerlies in its wake. These westerlies are forecast
To reach storm force over the Bay of Chaleur Thursday morning for a
few hours.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Chaleur - Miscou. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East
Scotian Slope, and Laurentian Fan.
