this system will bring higher than normal water levels and a
likelihood of coastal flooding to areas along the Bay of Fundy during
high tide late this evening. This will also occur for Miramichi
northward to the Acadian Coast and the Bay of Chaleur early Friday
morning, and near noon on Friday along the coasts of iles de la
Madeleine. There may also be some minor flooding along parts of the
Northumberland Strait coast of Prince Edward Island near noon on
Friday. Finally, there may be some coastal erosion and damage due to
rough and pounding surf along east facing shorelines in the Gulf of
St. Lawrence, especially for Northern New Brunswick and iles de la
