Issued 8:00 PM ADT 18 October 2018 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 984 mb located northeast of
Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Friday departing low 980 mb located northeast
of Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Friday ridge located over the western Marine
District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Friday ridge located over the eastern Marine
District.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight trough from 984 mb low located on a line
east-west over the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Friday weakening trough from 980 mb low located
on a line east-west over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:57 PM ADT 18 October 2018 A deepening low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland will
continue to move slowly away from the region tonight. Gale force
northwesterly winds in the wake of this low will become storm force
over some waters this evening. Winds will diminish from west to east
on Friday as a ridge of high pressure moves in.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Cabot Strait and Gulf-Magdalen. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
