over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight weakening ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Nova Scotia.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today Hurricane Humberto 952 mb located at
36.0N 60.9W.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Friday Post-tropical Storm Humberto 968 mb
located at 41.5N 58.5W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:54 AM ADT 19 September 2019 Hurricane Humberto is forecast to move northeastward towards the
southeastern marine district today and tonight. On Friday Humberto is
expected to transition to a post-tropical storm as it approaches
Laurentian Fan during the day. Gale force northeasterlies developing
across the slope waters today will likely reach storm force over
parts of East Scotian Slope and Laurentian Fan tonight and Friday as
Humberto approaches.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope - southeastern half and Laurentian Fan.
Gale warnings are in effect for Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope,
Sable - eastern half, East Scotian Slope - northwestern half, and
Banquereau - southern half.

At 9.00 AM ADT, hurricane Humberto was located near latitude 36.0
north and longitude 60.9 west , about 478 nautical miles or 885
kilometres south of Sable Island. Maximum sustained winds are
estimated at 105 knots and central pressure at 952 MB. Humberto is
moving north-northeast at 20 knots (37 km/h).
