By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located from Anticosti Island to
West Scotian Slope.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Tuesday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Tuesday building ridge located southwest of the
Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:15 PM AST 11 December 2023 A strong trough of low pressure over the western marine district thisafternoon will continue to move eastward tonight to lie east of the
district Tuesday morning. Gale to storm force southerlies ahead of
the trough then shift to strong westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, Gulf-Magdalen and
Anticosti - southeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Chaleur-Miscou western half and Anticosti -
northwestern half.
