Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:38 AM AST 25 November 2024 A low pressure system over Newfoundland will continue to move awayfrom the region today. Strong to gale force winds associated with the
low will weaken today and tonight. A ridge will move across the
district Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, Sable, East Scotian Slope,
Laurentian Fan, Gulf Magdalen - northern half, and Anticosti-
southeastern half.
Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.
Tuesday..Winds light in the morning increasing to southeast 15 to 20
in the afternoon and southerly 20 to 25 by evening. Seas near 1 metre
building to 1 to 2 metres in the evening.
Wednesday..Winds westerly 25 knots diminishing to west 20 in the
evening. Seas 2 to 3 metres.
