Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 16 December 2025 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located over the southwestern
Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday departing ridge located southeast of
the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday trough from 979 mb low located on a
line northeast-southwest over Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday trough from 978 mb low located on a
line northeast-southwest over the St. Lawrence River.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:32 PM AST 16 December 2025 A trough of low pressure over Quebec Wednesday morning will push east
to lie over the St Lawrence River by Wednesday evening. Strong to
gale force southwesterlies will develop early Wednesday ahead of the
trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Cabot Strait - northern half, Gulf - Magdalen -
southeastern half, Northumberland Strait, Chaleur - Miscou, and
Anticosti - northwestern half.

All freezing spray warnings have been ended.
