At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over southeastern Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located over the southwestern
Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday trough from 979 mb low located on a
line northeast-southwest over Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday trough from 978 mb low located on a
line northeast-southwest over the St. Lawrence River.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:37 AM AST 16 December 2025 A low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland will continue totrack northeastward away from the region today. Gale force
northwesterly winds behind the low will diminish this morning.
A trough of low pressure over Quebec Wednesday morning will push east
to lie over the St Lawrence River by Wednesday evening. Strong to
gale force southwesterlies will develop early Wednesday ahead of the
trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Northumberland Strait - western half, Chaleur - Miscou,
and Anticosti - northwestern half.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Northumberland Strait, Gulf
- Magdalen, Chaleur - Miscou, and Anticosti.
