Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 14 October 2026 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today low 1004 mb located over the Bay of Fundy.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Thursday departing low 989 mb located over
Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT Thursday approaching ridge located west of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:18 PM ADT 14 October 2026 A low pressure system tracking across the marine district tonight
will reach Newfoundland by Thursday morning. Strong to gale force
south to southeast winds ahead of the low will shift to strong to
gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope - eastern half, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou - eastern half, and Anticosti.
