Issued 3:00 AM ADT 25 May 2018 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the eastern Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located southeast of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Saturday low 1000 mb located over Prince Edward
Island.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT Saturday low 1001 mb located over the Avalon
Peninsula.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM ADT 25 May 2018 A trough of low pressure will push down from the north today.
Increasing southwesterly winds will reach strong to gale force over
southern waters this afternoon ahead of the trough. Winds will
gradually diminish on Saturday as the area of low pressure moves
eastward towards Newfoundland.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, Banquereau and Laurentian
Fan.
