Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM ADT 22 September 2018 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight departing cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Laurentian Fan.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Sunday trough located over the St. Lawrence River.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over southeastern Northumberland Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM ADT 22 September 2018 A cold front will continue to sweep through the marine district this
evening before exiting the region later this evening.

Ahead of the cold front, strong to gale force southwesterly winds
will persist over eastern waters into this evening. In its wake,
strong to gale force northwesterly winds will begin to gradually
diminish this evening, except over northern waters where westerly
winds are forecast to remain strong.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Cabot Strait-northern half, Gulf-Magdalen, and Anticosti.
