Issued 3:30 PM NST 21 January 2019 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line north-south over
Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday trough located east of the Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 986 mb located near Gulf - Port au Port.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday quasi-stationary low 990 mb located over
Belle Isle Bank.

By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday trough from 990 mb low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Strait of Belle Isle.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:20 PM NST 21 January 2019 An intense area of low pressure over the Northern Gulf of St.
Lawrence will very slowly track northeastward to lie over the Belle
Isle Bank by Tuesday morning. An associated trough will track
eastward across the marine district tonight. Gale force southerlies
ahead of the trough will diminish to strong westerlies behind it,
with strong to gale force northeasterlies persisting north of the
low.

Marine interests are advised gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.
