By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday trough located over the western Gulf
of St. Lawrence.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over western Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line north-south
over eastern Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:55 AM NDT 8 October 2024 A low pressure system southeast of the Grand Banks will graduallymove eastward today. Strong to gale force northeasterlies over
Southern Grand Banks will gradually diminish this morning as the low
tracks away from the district.
A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district on
Wednesday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will spread over gulf
and southern waters Wednesday ahead of this trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
