Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:53 AM NDT 20 September 2019 At 9:30 AM NDT, post-tropical storm Humberto was located near
latitude 41.9 north and longitude 57.6 west, about 165 nautical miles
southeast of Sable Island. Maximum sustained winds are estimated at
65 knots and central pressure at 973 MB. Humberto is moving
north-northeast at 19 knots.
Humberto will continue northeastward today and weaken as it tracks
through the Southern Grand Banks tonight.
Gale force southeasterlies ahead of Humberto will increase to gale to
storm force southwesterlies to its south this evening. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will persist behind Humberto on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure moving southward from Labrador
will track across the district tonight and Saturday. Strong to gale
force northerlies are expected behind the trough on Saturday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for Northeast
Gulf, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank, and Northern
Atlantic - Maritimes Area
