Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NST 1 December 2022 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located west of Port aux Basques.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday departing trough located over the northern
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NST Friday approaching ridge located southwest of
Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:21 PM NST 1 December 2022 A trough of low pressure just west of Port aux Basques will cross
Newfoundland tonight then move east of the district on Friday.
Gale to storm force southeasterlies over all waters ahead of the
trough will shift to strong to gale force west to southwesterlies in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are
in effect for all remaining waters.
