By 3:30 p.m. NDT Thursday departing low 994 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 994 mb located over southern Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Thursday low 991 mb located over Northeast Gulf.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located from the Grand Banks to
Hudson Bay.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Thursday departing ridge located over Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:47 PM NDT 11 March 2026 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will tracksoutheastward to lie southeast of the Labrador marine district by
overnight tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will persist
over Belle Isle Bank tonight as a result of this low.
A second low pressure system will approach from the west tonight and
cross the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Thursday. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies to southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to
southwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle
Bank and Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk
Island Bank.
