At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 999 mb located over the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday low 998 mb located east of the Grand Banks.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Funk Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM NST 8 November 2025 An intense low pressure system northeast of the district will remainnearly stationary as it weakens today. Gale force westerlies to
northwesterlies behind the low will gradually diminish as it weakens.
Another low pressure system will approach from Quebec today and track
eastward along the South Coast of Newfoundland to lie east of the
Northern Grand Banks by Sunday afternoon. Strong to gale force
southerlies to southwesterlies will develop south of the low tonight
and Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and
the Grand Banks.
