At 3:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located over the
southern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:01 AM NST 14 December 2024 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will continue todrift eastward across the Labrador Sea today. Strong to gale force
west to southwesterlies associated with the low will persist today.
Winds are expected to gradually diminish to moderate to strong
northwesterlies tonight and Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
