By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 986 mb located over the Gulf
of Maine.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday low 978 mb located near Funk Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:20 PM NST 16 November 2018 Strong to gale force northwesterlies over eastern waters will
diminish this evening as a ridge of high pressure over Newfoundland
moves eastward.

A low approaching Nova Scotia will intensify as it moves to lie over
the Southwest Coast Saturday morning then just east of Funk Island
Bank in the evening. Gale force easterlies will develop over most
waters tonight and Saturday as the low approaches. South of the track
of the low winds will shift to gale to storm force westerlies.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast and the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle,
Northeast Gulf and Gulf - Port au Port.
