Issued 8:00 PM NST 19 February 2018 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 985 mb located east of the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing low 990 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over eastern Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday departing ridge located off the Grand
Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located over Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM NST 19 February 2018 An intense low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will continue
to track eastward tonight. Strong to gale force northerlies will
gradually diminish over the Grand Banks tonight as the low moves away
and a ridge of high pressure approaches.

A trough of low pressure over Labrador will cross over northern
waters tonight. Strong to gale force southwesterlies ahead of this
system will veer to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, Belle Isle Bank, Northern Grand
Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast
- Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
