At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday departing ridge located over the Grand
Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:26 PM NDT 14 May 2026 A low pressure system southeast of the Labrador Sea will depart tothe east this evening. Strong to gale force westerlies will diminish
as the low departs.
A second low pressure system will approach from the southwest on
Friday. Strong to gale force easterlies will develop over southern
waters ahead of the low on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north
of Cape St. Francis, and Northeast Coast.
