Issued 10:00 AM NDT 24 March 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located from the Grand Banks toFunk Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday approaching low 1002 mb located over
New Brunswick.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing low 980 mb located over eastern
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:51 AM NDT 24 March 2025 A trough of low pressure extending from the Southwestern Grand Banksto Funk Island Bank will slowly track eastward across southern waters
today. Strong to gale force west to northwesterlies west of the
trough will diminish as the trough moves away.
A low pressure system will approach from the Maritimes tonight and
track northeastward across Newfoundland on Tuesday. Strong to gale
south to southwesterlies will develop ahead of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
