Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday approaching trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:48 AM NST 7 December 2019 A low pressure system near Sable Island will track northeastwardacross the Avalon Peninsula this evening. Strong to gale force
southerlies will develop over the Grand Banks late in the day today
and diminish to strong westerlies in the wake of the low tonight.
An intensifying trough of low pressure will approach the marine
district from the Labrador Sea Sunday afternoon. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop over northern waters late in the day on
Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au
Port, Northeast Coast, and Belle Isle Bank.
