Issued 8:00 PM NDT 23 October 2020 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight high 1030 mb located over Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing high 1029 mb located over
the eastern Grand Banks.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT Saturday approaching Hurricane Epsilon 968 mb
located south of Nova Scotia.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday approaching trough located over the
St. Lawrence River.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:51 PM NDT 23 October 2020 On Saturday, a trough of low pressure will approach the marine
district from the west while hurricane epsilon nears the Southern
Grand Banks from the southwest. Gale force southeasterlies will
spread across southern waters Saturday morning as hurricane epsilon
approaches, while gale force southerlies will develop over northern
waters Saturday afternoon ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Belle Isle Bank, and the Grand
Banks.

At 6:30 P.M. NDT, hurricane epsilon was located near latitude 35.5
north and longitude 61.7 west, about 245 nautical miles northeast of
Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds were estimated at 75 knots and
central pressure at 968 MB. Epsilon is moving northward at 10 knots.
Epsilon is expected to make a turn to the northeast on Saturday and
pass through the Southern Grand Banks on Sunday as a hurricane or
strong post-tropical storm.
