Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 12 October 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 991 mb located east of Funk Island
Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday merging low 986 mb located northeast of
the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 992 mb located over the
southwestern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 977 mb located east of the Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NDT 12 October 2026 An intensifying low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will
move northeastward this evening to merge with another low off of
Greenland overnight. Strong to gale force southwesterlies south of
the low will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its
wake.

A second intensifying low pressure system over the Southwestern Grand
Banks will track eastward tonight before departing to the east on
Tuesday. Gale force southwesterlies can be expected just south of
this low while gale force northerlies to northwesterlies can be
expected in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Belle Isle Bank, and the
Grand Banks.
