Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:55 AM NDT 15 October 2018 A trough of low pressure over Southern Funk Island Bank will slowly
move eastward to lie east of the district this morning. Gale force
westerlies will diminish this morning as the trough departs.
A low pressure system over Quebec this evening will deepen as it
moves to lie over Southeastern Labrador Tuesday evening. Gale to
storm force south to southeasterlies will develop ahead of this
system. Winds are expected to shift to gale to storm force westerlies
in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and
Southeastern Grand Banks where gale warnings are in effect.
