Issued 10:00 AM NST 3 March 2021 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 976 mb located northwest of the BurinPeninsula.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight dissipating low 982 mb located over
western Funk Island Bank.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 974 mb located near the Great Northern
Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 972 mb located over
southeastern Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:50 AM NST 3 March 2021 A low pressure system over Fortune bay will continue northeastward tolie over Western Funk Island Bank this afternoon where it will
dissipate. Gale to storm force west to southwesterly winds are
expected south of the low today.
Meanwhile, a second low pressure system currently developing near the
Great Northern Peninsula will track northwestwards to lie over
Southeastern Labrador this afternoon. This low will cause the strong
to gale force west to southwesterly winds to persist over the marine
district tonight and Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southwest Coast - Ramea and east. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Grand Banks.
