Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:00 AM NST 17 February 2026 A low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will deepen as itapproaches the marine district today and crosses the Grand Banks
tonight and Wednesday. Gale to storm force southerlies to
northeasterlies will develop ahead of the low today and tonight while
gale to storm force west to northwesterlies will develop in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank and the
Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Southwest Coast
