Issued 3:00 AM NDT 2 May 2025 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today low 995 mb located over Funk Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 1000 mb located
northeast of Belle Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday approaching ridge from high located on
a line north-south over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:49 AM NDT 2 May 2025 A low pressure system over the Funk Island Bank will slowly track
northeastward to lie northeast of Belle Isle Bank later this morning
where it will stall and weaken. Strong to gale force westerly to
northwesterly winds in the wake of the low will diminish tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and
Southwestern Grand Banks.
