Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:54 AM NDT 23 March 2019 A low pressure system located over New Brunswick will track
northeastwards over the Maritimes today. Strong to gale force
southeasterly winds will diminish to strong southerlies today over
most waters as the low broadens.
A secondary low pressure system will form near Laurentian Fan this
afternoon then rapidly deepen as it moves northward tonight. Strong
to gale force southerlies will persist over southeastern waters today
and tonight as a result of this feature.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect East
Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.
