District.
At 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday approaching low 1006 mb located over
the Gulf of Maine.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:10 PM AST 5 February 2025 Strong to gale force west to northwest winds across the marinedistrict, between a low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland and
a ridge to the west, will diminish through the day today as the ridge
builds into the region.
On Thursday, a low pressure system will approach the region from the
southwest bringing strong to gale force southerly winds to
southwestern waters late in the day.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope and Cabot
Strait.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Grand Manan, Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore,
Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait and all Gulf of St. Lawrence
waters.
