Issued 3:00 AM AST 18 February 2018 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. AST today intensifying low 1007 mb located south of
Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing low 984 mb located south of
Laurentian Fan.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today building ridge located over the western
Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Monday ridge located over the southeastern Marine

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM AST 18 February 2018 An intensifying low pressure system south of Cape Cod will rapidly
cross southern waters today to lie south of Laurentian Fan this
evening. Gale to storm force winds will spread to waters south of
Nova Scotia today, with a brief period of hurricane force winds near
the track of the low centre. Winds will diminish from west to east as
the low passes by.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope and East Scotian
Slope. A storm warning is in effect for Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings
are in effect for Browns Bank, lahave, Sable and Banquereau-southern

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
