Snow changing to rain this evening then to scattered showers overnight. Risk of freezing rain late this evening. Fog patches forming this evening and dissipating Tuesday evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow and in fog patches.

Temperatures zero rising to plus 6 Tuesday afternoon then falling to plus 1 Tuesday evening.

eastern United States.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Tuesday cold front from low located from Labrador
to Georges Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT Tuesday departing cold front from low located
from Labrador Sea to East Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:47 PM ADT 16 March 2026 An intensifying cold front over the Eastern United States will
approach the region tonight and slowly track eastward across the
marine district on Tuesday. Strong to gale force southerly winds will
increase to gale to near storm force just ahead of the front.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
