At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 1026 mb located over Southwestern Shore.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday departing low 1019 mb located east of
the Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday low 1009 mb located south of East
Scotian Slope.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Wednesday departing low 998 mb located over the
southwestern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:18 PM AST 21 January 2025 An intense low pressure system over the Labrador Sea will continue tomove northward tonight. Strong to gale force west to northwesterlies
over northern and eastern waters will diminish this evening.
On Wednesday another low will track just south of the marine district
to lie over the Grand Banks Wednesday evening. Strong to gale force
northerlies will develop west of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen - eastern half and Anticosti.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for all waters except
Laurentian Fan - southeastern half.
