At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located on a line north-south over
New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday trough located from Newfoundland to
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:52 PM AST 15 February 2019 A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district from thewest this evening and move across the district on Saturday.
Increasing southeasterly winds ahead of the trough over western
waters and spread eastward tonight. Marginal gales are expected over
extreme southern waters while gale to near storm force
southeasterlies are forecast over northern waters. Winds diminish to
moderate to strong westerlies in the wake of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen - northern half and Anticosti.
