By 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday weakening low 991 mb located over
eastern Quebec.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 983 mb located south of West
Scotian Slope.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday approaching low 964 mb located south of
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:14 AM AST 3 January 2025 A low pressure system over the St Lawrence River will slowly tracknorthward to lie over Eastern Quebec tonight. Strong to gale force
southwest winds will gradually diminish through the day today.
On Saturday, another low pressure system will approach southeastern
waters where gale to storm force northerly winds are forecast.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - eastern half and Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in
effect for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank,
southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore,
Sable, East Scotian Slope and Banquereau - western half.
