By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing low 965 mb located east of the
Grand Banks.
At 10:00 a.m. AST today deepening low 993 mb located southwest of
Georges Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday low 970 mb located south of East Scotian
Slope.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:43 AM AST 7 February 2026 An intense low pressure system southeast of Laurentian Fan willcontinue moving eastward and depart today. Gale force northeasterlies
over southern waters will diminish to strong today.
A second low pressure system will develop southwest of Georges Bank
today and track south of the marine district tonight and Sunday.
Strong to gale force northeasterlies will develop over southern
waters again tonight.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, Banquereau -
southeastern half, and Laurentian Fan.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, southwest shore, LaHave Bank,
eastern shore, Fourchu, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen, and Anticosti.
