Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:23 AM AST 3 March 2021 A low pressure system over Eastern Newfoundland will merge with asecond low over Southern Labrador this evening and will then meander
around Southern Labrador throughout the day on Thursday. Gale to
possibly storm force northwesterlies are expected to diminish
slightly today as the low pulls away from the region. Strong to gale
force westerlies will continue through the remainder of the forecast
period.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher and Browns Bank. Freezing
spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot
Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf - Magdalen and Anticosti.
