At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 1002 mb located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Monday deepening low 995 mb located near Grand
Manan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:34 AM ADT 14 October 2024 A low pressure system near Long Island, New York will movenortheastward across the Gulf of Maine this afternoon. The low will
track across New Brunswick tonight to lie near Anticosti Island on
Tuesday.
Over the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters and Cabot Strait, winds will
increase to strong to gale force easterlies this afternoon and this
evening, then veer to strong to gale force south to southwesterlies
overnight as the low tracks across New Brunswick.
Over southern waters, winds will become strong to gale force south to
southwesterlies as the low tracks by to the west. These winds
diminish on Tuesday as the low moves to lie near Anticosti Island.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, Cabot Strait,
and all of the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
