Issued 8:00 PM ADT 14 October 2024 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 998 mb located over southern NewBrunswick.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday low 990 mb located over Chaleur Bay.
At 3:30 p.m. ADT Tuesday low 990 mb located west of Anticosti
Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:23 AM ADT 15 October 2024 A low pressure system over the Bay of Chaleur will move to lie westof Anticosti Island later this morning then remain nearly stationary
until this evening. The low will then move eastward later tonight and
Wednesday morning to lie over the Northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence
Wednesday afternoon.
Gale force easterlies over Anticosti marine area will diminish to
strong southerlies this morning. Strong southerlies or
southwesterlies over eastern waters will diminish to moderate to
strong southwesterlies later today.
On Wednesday over eastern marine areas, winds are forecast to
increase to strong to gale force westerlies as the low moves to the
Northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait and Anticosti.
