Issued 3:00 AM AST 23 February 2024 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. AST today trough located from Laurentian Fan to the
Avalon Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today departing trough located east of Laurentian

At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over the western Marine
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over eastern Laurentian Fan.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday trough from 986 mb low located on a line
north-south over East Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:38 AM AST 23 February 2024 A low moving east over southeastern waters will give strong to
possibly gale force northwesterlies in its wake this morning.

A trough over the Gulf of Maine this evening will move east across
southern forecast waters, and will give gale to possibly storm force
southerlies ahead of it, and then strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope,
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen and Anticosti -
southwestern half.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, and all Gulf of St.
Lawrence waters.
