At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight cold front from low located from Labrador
to Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday departing cold front located over
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:46 AM AST 10 December 2019 A low pressure system over Northern Quebec will track northeastwardto lie over Northern Labrador by this evening. Gale to near storm
force south to southwest winds over eastern waters will diminish to
strong to gale force southwesterlies later today. Tonight an
associated cold front will sweep across the gulf of St.
Lawrence ushering in a cold northwesterly flow. The weakening cold
front will move across slope waters on Wednesday. A period of gales
and freezing spray are expected over extreme northern waters in the
wake of the front.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank,
Northumberland Strait - western half, and Chaleur-Miscou.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
