District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located over the Gulf of Maine.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday trough located over southwestern
Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday ridge located over New England.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday ridge located over the central Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:45 AM AST 17 January 2026 A trough of low pressure will approach today to lie over the central
marine district by this evening. Strong to gale force southerlies are
expected ahead of this trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
southeastern half of Banquereau and Laurentian Fan.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
