the Marine District.
At 3:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday ridge located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Tuesday ridge located over the western Marine
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:54 AM ADT 19 March 2018 A quasi-stationary low pressure system northeast of the district will
maintain a cold and unstable flow over the region until a ridge of
high pressure builds in by mid-week. Strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies will persist across the marine district until winds
weaken with the approach of the ridge Tuesday evening. Freezing spray
is expected over most areas except southernmost waters.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, Cabot Strait - northern half,
Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern half, and Anticosti - western half.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Cabot Strait,
and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
