Issued 3:00 AM ADT 22 October 2018 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today trough located over the eastern Marine
District.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT today departing trough located over the Grand
Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 1010 mb located north of the Great
Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Tuesday deepening low 1010 mb located near
Cape Cod.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today building ridge located over the East Coast
of the U.S.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday ridge located south of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM ADT 22 October 2018 A trough of low pressure over eastern waters will continue to move
eastward and out of the marine district this morning. Gale force
southerly winds ahead of the trough shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake. Mariners in the Gulf - Magdalen area are
advised that conditions are somewhat favourable for the formation of
waterspouts late this morning and this afternoon behind this feature.

A second low pressure system will approach the district from the west
on Tuesday and begin to rapidly intensify near Cape Cod on Tuesday
evening before turning to the northeast. Strong to gale force
southeasterly to southwesterly winds will develop ahead of this
system over western waters late on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, and Laurentian
Fan.
