At 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 997 mb located over Ontario.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday approaching low 987 mb located northwest
of the Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:50 PM AST 6 March 2026 A low pressure system south of West Scotian Slope will track eastwardtonight before dissipating on Saturday. Strong to gale force easterly
winds north of the low will diminish on Saturday.
Another low will approach the Maritimes from the west later in the
day Saturday. Strong to gale force southerly winds are forecast to
develop late in the day over northern waters.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, Cabot Strait - northern half,
Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern half and Anticosti - southeastern half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern half and Anticosti -
southeastern half.
