Issued 8:00 PM AST 19 January 2019 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located northwest of the Marine
District.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday ridge located north of the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday deepening low 995 mb located southeast of
the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday low 982 mb located over the Gulf of Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:40 PM AST 19 January 2019 An intense low pressure system will reach maritime waters by Sunday
morning. Gale to potentially storm force east to southerly winds will
spread throughout the marine district on Sunday.

Cold northwesterly winds will bring freezing spray this evening to
northeastern waters in the wake of a trough of low pressure. Freezing
spray will return to northern waters on Sunday as cold easterly winds
develop ahead of the system approaching from the southwest.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
marine waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Fundy, eastern half of eastern shore, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.

In addition, higher than normal water levels combined with heavy
pounding surf are expected along parts of the Atlantic Coast during
high tide Sunday night and Monday.
