Issued 10:00 AM ADT 17 March 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today trough located over the Gulf of Maine.By 3:30 p.m. ADT today trough located from the Gulf of St. Lawrence
to West Scotian Slope.
At 10:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday departing trough located southeast of
Laurentian Fan.
At 3:30 p.m. ADT Wednesday building high located southwest of the
Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:48 AM ADT 17 March 2026 An intense trough of low pressure will cross the district today andtonight to lie southeast of Laurentian Fan Wednesday morning. Gale to
near storm force southerlies ahead of the trough shift to strong to
gale force westerlies in its wake. Winds will diminish over all
waters during the day Wednesday as an area of high pressure builds in
from the west.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters. Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Cabot Strait and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
