Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:49 AM ADT 16 May 2026 A low pressure system north of Banquereau will continue trackingnortheastward to lie northeast of Newfoundland this afternoon.
Winds will increase to gale force westerlies in its wake then subside
this evening as the low departs the region.
A trough of low pressure will cross the marine district on Sunday.
Strong southwesterlies ahead of the trough will increase to strong to
gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - southern half, Laurentian Fan, Gulf - Magdalen -
northeastern half and Anticosti.
